Most homeowners don\u2019t realize just how important it is that they get the right sized heating system for their home. When it comes to heating systems, bigger is not better.<\/p>\n
Unless you go to a professional, such as one of the technicians on our staff, you may get roped into buying a system that is bigger than you need. Or, you may automatically buy a small system because it matches your budget, to discover it doesn\u2019t do its job efficiently.<\/p>\n
Your heater cannot run effectively if it is not installed and sized as it should be. If it\u2019s too small, it can\u2019t adequately heat your home and will wear down faster, leading to both uneven temperatures throughout your living space as well as increased repair needs that you wouldn\u2019t have had to deal with otherwise.<\/p>\n
If it\u2019s too large, then it will cycle on and off rapidly\u2014a process known as short-cycling. This also increases wear and tear, and can cause the system to overheat, resulting in a broken down heater.<\/p>\n
